Marine – Offshore Vessel Opportunities
Metro Mining Limited (ASX:MMI) is an Australian exploration and mining company based in Brisbane. Metro’s flagship project, the Bauxite Hills Mine, located 95km north of Weipa is one of the largest independent projects within the internationally acclaimed Weipa Bauxite Region.
Metro Mining is currently seeking skilled Marine crew for multiple positions on our offshore vessels:
- Ikamba: Our offshore floating terminal, facilitating the transfer of product from barge to large ocean-going vessels.
- Mandang: Our 32-metre assisting tug with conventional propulsion.

- Master (Master <80m NC)
- Chief Officers
- Officer positions
- Engineers
- Fixed Plant Fitter (Conveyor and Deck) – mechanical, conveyor, welding and hydraulics experience
- Oiler
- Electrician (ETO)
- Bosun
- Able Seafarer and Crane Operators – 34 WMT E-Crane Operations, Dozer & Loader RIIs
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Marine and Trade qualifications and experience suited to the role
- Certificate of Safety Training (CoST) or ability to obtain
- Relevant SCTW regulation tickets
- Current Certificate of Competency issued by AMSA or Panama
- Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain one
- Minimum 1 year of experience in trade and labour roles, or a minimum of 2 years in professional roles
