Troy joined Metro  Mining in August 2025 as General Manager for People and Culture. With over 25 years of leadership experience in human resources, specialising in transforming workplace cultures, driving strategic HR initiatives, and ensuring a relentless focus on safety. Troy’s career spans complex, high-risk industries, including mining, manufacturing, and explosives technology, where he has partnered with senior leaders to deliver results.
Troy has successfully led large-scale HR functions across diverse sectors, including coal mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting, bauxite mining, copper projects, and the manufacture of explosives and mining services. His experience is both local and international, having managed teams and initiatives in Newcastle, Wollongong, Clermont (central QLD), Lima (Peru), and Brisbane, where he has been based for the past 12 years.

As a people-centric leader, Troy is passionate about developing high-performing teams, fostering an inclusive and engaged workforce, and driving leadership excellence at all levels. He has a proven track record of building strong, collaborative cultures where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute to organisational success.
